Palamau
Palamau, also spelled Palamu, is a district in the Indian state of Jharkhand. Located in the northwestern part of the state, it is part of the Chota Nagpur Plateau region. The district headquarters is Medininagar, formerly known as Daltonganj. The name is associated with the historic Palamu Fort and the surrounding forested landscape that characterized the area.
