Pakkoulshengityksessä

Pakkoulshengityksessä, commonly referred to in English as forced swallowing, is a medical technique used in specific situations to restore normal breathing in a person who is experiencing respiratory difficulty or unconsciousness. This technique is also known as the sequence of clearing the airway followed by the cough roll and eventually followed by breaststroke glottis closure.

There are several different methods associated with pakkoulshengityksessä, but they generally involve the use of two-person team approach to strap a person's head back and ensure a clear airway, a confident release and to pass an airway tube if the person learns to respond after 30 seconds. The primary purpose of this technique is to revive a person who has stopped breathing, and prevent brain damage from lack of oxygen.
