PSP2000

The PSP2000, also known as the PlayStation Portable Slim & Lite, is a handheld game console developed and marketed by Sony Computer Entertainment. It was first released in Japan in September 2007, followed by North America and Europe later that year. The PSP2000 was a slimmer, lighter, and more affordable redesign of the original PSP.

Key improvements in the PSP2000 over its predecessor included a thinner profile, reduced weight, and a brighter, higher-contrast LCD screen. It also featured more RAM, which allowed for faster loading times and improved game performance. Other enhancements included the addition of a video-out port for connecting to televisions, a microphone for voice chat and in-game functionality, and a redesigned directional pad and analog stick for improved control. The console maintained compatibility with the original PSP's library of games, UMD movies, and digital content.

The PSP2000 continued to offer access to the PlayStation Store, allowing users to download games, demos, and other media. It supported Wi-Fi connectivity for online multiplayer gaming and internet browsing. The console was available in a variety of colors and was a popular choice for portable gaming during its lifespan. It was succeeded by the PSP3000 and later the PSP Go.
