PCRpääsuga is a term used in Estonia and some other regions to refer to a pass or certificate that confirms a person has tested negative for SARS-CoV-2 using a polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test, allowing entry to events, venues, travel, or other activities. The requirement emerged during the COVID-19 pandemic as a public health measure to reduce transmission and facilitate safer gatherings and cross-border movement. The certificate is issued by an accredited laboratory or testing facility and can be issued in paper form or digitally, often with a QR code or digital signature for verification.
