Osun

Osun is a state in southwestern Nigeria named after the Osun River, a Yoruba sacred river. The capital and largest city is Osogbo. Osun State was created in 1991 from part of Oyo State and covers about 9,200 square kilometers. The population is predominantly Yoruba, and the Yoruba language is widely spoken.
