OstprignitzRuppin
Ostprignitz–Ruppin is a district (Landkreis) in the northwestern part of the German state of Brandenburg. It covers an area of roughly 1,413 square kilometres, making it one of the larger districts in the state. The district seat is the town of Friesack, while the larger towns of Perleberg, Zernikow, and Schwedt lie within its borders. The district is bordered by the district of Uckermark to the north, Potsdam-Mittelmark to the east, Oberspreewald-Lausitz to the south, and the state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania to the west.
