Osteopática

Osteopática is a healthcare profession that emphasizes the interconnectedness of the body's structure and its function. Osteopathic physicians, or DOs, are fully licensed medical doctors who diagnose and treat illness and injury. In addition to conventional medical training, DOs receive extensive training in the musculoskeletal system, its relationship to the rest of the body, and the body's innate ability to heal itself.

The philosophy of osteopathic medicine holds that all body systems are interrelated and that the body's structure influences its function. Osteopathic practitioners use a variety of hands-on techniques, collectively known as osteopathic manipulative treatment (OMT), to address these structural issues. OMT can involve gentle stretching, applying pressure, or resistance to muscles and joints. These techniques aim to relieve pain, improve mobility, and promote healing.

Osteopathic medicine is used to treat a wide range of conditions, including back pain, neck pain, headaches, sports injuries, and digestive issues. It can be used as a primary treatment or in conjunction with conventional medical treatments. The goal of osteopathic treatment is to restore balance to the body, improve its ability to function optimally, and enhance overall well-being.
