Orthorhombus is a genus of flatfish belonging to the family Bothidae, commonly known as left-eye flounders. These fish are characterized by their rhomboidal body shape, hence the genus name, which is derived from Greek words meaning "straight" and "shape." Species within Orthorhombus are found in the Indo-Pacific region, inhabiting sandy or muddy bottoms in coastal waters and continental shelves. They are demersal, meaning they live on the seafloor, where they employ camouflage to blend in with their surroundings.
