Organsationer

Organsationer are social units deliberately structured to achieve specific goals. They bring together people, resources, and processes to coordinate activities more effectively than individuals acting alone. Organsationer can be formal, with defined roles and rules, or informal, relying on personal relationships and shared norms. They may exist to generate profits, provide services, advance public goals, or hold culture and knowledge.

Types include for-profit firms, non-profit organizations, government agencies, cooperatives, clubs, and international organizations. They vary in size from small teams to multinational corporations. They can be temporary project groups or enduring institutions.

Most formal organsationer have governance structures such as a board of directors or trustees, an executive management team, and staff or volunteers. They operate under legal forms and regulations, with charters, bylaws, or constitutions to define purpose and authority. Planning, budgeting, and performance measurement are common management activities.

Organizations typically go through formation, operation, growth or restructuring, and, in some cases, dissolution.

Funding comes from sales, donations, grants, government funding, membership dues, or investments. Human resources, technology, and physical assets support operations.

Organsationer influence economies and societies by delivering goods and services, coordinating collective action, and fostering innovation.
