Organisationsdiagrammer, also known as organizational charts or organigrams, are visual representations of a company's internal structure. They depict the relationships between different positions and departments within an organization, outlining lines of authority and communication. Typically, these diagrams use boxes to represent individual roles or departments and lines to connect them, showing who reports to whom.

There are several common types of organisationaldiagrammer. A hierarchical or tree structure is the most prevalent, showing a clear chain of command from top management down to lower levels. A flat structure, on the other hand, has fewer management layers and a wider span of control for each manager, often seen in smaller or more agile companies. Matrix structures, which show dual reporting relationships, are also used, especially in project-based organizations where employees might report to both a functional manager and a project manager.
