Oreo

Oreo is a sandwich cookie consisting of two chocolate wafers with a sweet creme filling. It is produced by Mondelez International under the Nabisco brand. The cookies were introduced in 1912 by the National Biscuit Company (NBC, later Nabisco) in the United States, created to compete with an existing cookie known as Hydrox. The original Oreo shared a distinctive round shape with fluted edges and a cross-hatch pattern on the wafers, including the word “OREO” in the imprint. The traditional cookies use dark chocolate wafers and a white creme, while later variants introduced different fillings and flavors.

Over the years Oreo has been expanded beyond the original product. Golden Oreos, with vanilla-flavored cookies
