Onkræft

Onkræft is a Danish term that translates to cancer in English. It refers to a group of diseases characterized by the uncontrolled growth and division of abnormal cells, which can invade and damage surrounding tissues and organs. Cancer can develop in virtually any part of the body and can spread to other areas through the bloodstream or lymphatic system, a process known as metastasis.

The causes of onkræft are diverse and often multifactorial, involving a combination of genetic predispositions and environmental factors. These environmental factors can include exposure to carcinogens like tobacco smoke, certain chemicals, radiation, and infectious agents such as viruses.
