Olenedes is a term used in speculative fiction and world-building to denote a Bronze Age seafaring culture. It is not recognized by real-world archaeologists, and there is no evidence of a historical people known by this name outside fiction. The name likely derives from ethnonym conventions, with a fictional root ole- and the common suffix -edes.

In fictional treatments, Olenedes inhabit a coastal archipelago in an eastern Mediterranean–like setting, or an imagined sea, and maintain extensive maritime trade networks. Their social structure is described as stratified, with merchant elites, skilled artisans, and councils of elders guiding seafaring and craft production. Maritime mobility supports complex shipbuilding, navigation knowledge, and port settlements.

Material culture is typically depicted with distinctive pottery featuring spiral and geometric motifs, bronze implements, and well-preserved harbor architecture. Some narratives present an undeciphered inscription system associated with Olenedes, though the writing is not consistently defined across sources.

Historically within the fiction, Olenedes are placed in the late Bronze Age, often roughly between 1800 and 1200 BCE in the constructed chronology, after the decline of neighboring empires and before further assimilation or isolation. They are frequently portrayed as merchants who linked distant regions, while also defending their domains against seaborne incursions.
