Ofikäytön is a Finnish term that translates to "otter usage" or "otter exploitation." It primarily refers to the historical and sometimes ongoing practice of using otters for fishing in certain parts of the world, particularly in Asia. This method involves training otters to catch fish for their human handlers.

The practice has a long history, with evidence suggesting it was used for centuries in countries like China, Bangladesh, and Nepal.
