Offshoreinstallation
Offshore installation refers to facilities located at sea that are used for energy extraction, processing, storage, or generation. Typical examples include fixed oil and gas platforms such as jacket or gravity-based structures; floating production systems (FPSOs, FPUs, semi-submersibles, tension-leg or spar platforms); subsea infrastructure such as templates, manifolds, and pipelines; and offshore energy installations like wind turbines, offshore substations, and wave or tidal energy converters. These installations are designed to withstand harsh marine conditions and are connected by process lines, control umbilicals, and data networks. Installations can be fixed to the seabed or supported by floating systems that moor or maintain dynamic position.
