Objevení, also known as the "Revelation of Saint John," is a book in the New Testament of the Christian Bible, traditionally attributed to the apostle John. It is the final book of the New Testament and is often considered one of the most symbolic and prophetic texts in the Christian tradition. The book is divided into 22 chapters and is known for its apocalyptic imagery and its portrayal of a cosmic battle between good and evil.

The narrative begins with John receiving a vision of a scroll being opened by an angel, revealing the future events of the world. The scroll is sealed with seven seals, each revealing a series of judgments and visions that depict the end times. These visions include the sealing of the 144,000 Jews, the seven angels blowing their trumpets, and the opening of the seven seals, which reveal the fall of Babylon, the martyrdom of the saints, and the final judgment.

The book also includes a series of letters from John to the seven churches in Asia Minor, addressing various issues such as false teachings, immorality, and the need for repentance. These letters are often seen as a guide for the early Christian communities.

The final chapters of Objevení depict a great battle in heaven between Michael the archangel and the dragon, representing Satan. Michael defeats the dragon and casts him to earth, where he is defeated by the saints. The book concludes with a vision of a new heaven and a new earth, where God dwells with humanity forever.

Objevení has been a subject of much interpretation and debate among scholars and theologians. Its apocalyptic imagery and symbolic language have led to various interpretations, ranging from literal end-of-the-world scenarios to more abstract spiritual meanings.
