OECDstä, often referred to as the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development, is an international organization comprising 38 member countries. It was established in 1961 to succeed the Organisation for European Economic Co-operation, which was formed to help administer the Marshall Plan. The OECD's primary goal is to promote policies that will improve the economic and social well-being of people around the world.
