The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) is an intergovernmental organization founded in 1961 to promote economic growth, prosperity, and social well-being through policy analysis and international cooperation. It succeeded the Organisation for European Economic Co-operation (OEEC) and is headquartered in Paris. The OECD brings together member countries to compare data, set standards, and coordinate policy across a range of economic and social issues.
