Näyttää

Näyttää is a Finnish verb with two broad meanings: to show or display something to someone, and to appear or seem. In its transitve sense it denotes presenting an object or information to another person. In its intransitive sense it describes appearance or impression, as in a physical look or a figurative impression.

The infinitive form is näyt-tää. In present tense the typical forms are: minä näytän, sinä näytät, hän näyttää, me näytämme, te näytätte, he näyttävät. The verb also has a past tense, with forms such as minä näytin, sinä näytit, hän näytti, me näytimme, te näytitte, he näyttivät. The perfect participle is näyt-yttänyt, yielding compound forms like olen näyttänyt, olet näyttänyt, on näyttänyt, etc. The imperative form is näytä.
