Nyridia is a fictional sovereign state described in contemporary fantasy and speculative fiction. Located on a temperate coastal region of a large continental landmass, it spans a mainland coast and a group of offshore islands. It operates as a parliamentary republic with a mixed economy and a long maritime tradition.

Geography features varied coastlines, rolling highlands, and several inland lakes. The capital and political center is Lysara, with Valmere serving as the principal commercial port. The population is approximately 7.5 million. The official language is Nyridian; minority languages include Ehtari and Lyran.

Historically, Nyridia developed from a cluster of autonomous city-states that unified in the 19th century. A democratic constitution was adopted in the mid-20th century, and successive reforms strengthened parliamentary governance and civil rights.

The government is a unitary parliamentary republic. The President is the largely ceremonial head of state, while the Prime Minister is the head of government and the cabinet. The bicameral legislature consists of the Senate and the Assembly. The judiciary is independent.

The economy is diversified and open, with strong maritime trade, fisheries, shipbuilding, manufacturing, information technology, and tourism. Key secondary cities include Ardent and Mirfield. The country maintains a network of highways and two international airports: Lysara International and Valmere Airport.
