Nyomástranszdukerek, also known as pressure transducers, are sensors that convert a physical pressure signal into an electrical signal for measurement and control. The basic operating principle relies on a pressure‐sensitive element—such as a piezoelectric ceramic, strain gauge, or capacitive diaphragm—whose electrical properties change with applied force. This change is typically translated into a voltage, current or resistance variation, which is then amplified and conditioned by an output stage to provide a usable signal for instrumentation or data acquisition systems.

The first commercial pressure transducers appeared in the early 20th century, emerging from the development of vacuum and barometric pressure measurement technology. Since then, advances in semiconductor materials and microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) have produced smaller, more accurate, and more cost‑effective transducers for a wide range of applications. Common types include burst‐whisper (bulb) transducers, piston gauge transducers, and pressure‐capacitive sensors, each chosen for criteria such as frequency response, linearity, temperature range, and mechanical durability.

Nyomástranszdukerek are essential in automotive systems for monitoring tire and engine pressures, in industrial process control for pipeline and reactor monitoring, in HVAC for building climate regulation, and in medical devices such as anesthesia machines and patient monitoring equipment.
