Nyoma

Nyoma is a town and tehsil (administrative block) in Leh district of the union territory of Ladakh, India. It is located in the eastern part of Ladakh, set in high-altitude terrain that forms part of the Tibetan plateau. The town functions as a local administrative center for surrounding villages and has road links to Leh and other settlements in the region.

Nyoma hosts a key military airbase and a civilian airstrip known as Nyoma Airport, which serves eastern Ladakh. The air facilities are part of India’s defense and civil aviation infrastructure in the frontier area and support both military operations and civilian travel to remote parts of Ladakh.
