Nyborgand

Nyborgand is a fictional island nation in the Northern Archipelago. It comprises the main island Nyborg and several smaller isles in temperate northern waters. The terrain includes fjord-like inlets, forests, and agricultural plains; the capital Nyborgstadt is the political and economic center, and other major ports include Verna Harbor and Skjold Point.

The name Nyborgand derives from Old Norse roots meaning "new fortress land." The polity formed from coastal lordships in the medieval period and achieved a constitutional framework in the 19th century. It is a constitutional monarchy with a ceremonial monarch and a prime minister-led government. The legislature is bicameral, with an elected lower house and an appointed upper house.
