Notiser

In historical print media, notiser described short news items or announcements about events, obituaries, advertisements, or public notices. They functioned as quick summaries intended to inform readers without presenting full articles.

In contemporary digital contexts, notiser typically means a notification or alert. Push notifications on smartphones, in-app messages, and desktop alerts are forms of notiser. They can be informational, prompt for user action, or warnings, and are often configurable by the user, including options for do-not-disturb or quiet hours.

Public or official uses include notices issued by authorities, municipalities, or organizations. These notiser inform citizens about deadlines, meetings, tenders, legal changes, or other matters required by law to be publicly announced.
