Notesavtaler

Notesavtaler is a Norwegian term used to describe contractual arrangements that govern a note instrument, typically a promissory or loan note issued by a borrower to lenders or investors. In financial practice, a notesavtale sets out the terms of the note, including the parties, the principal amount, interest rate, payment schedule, maturity, and any covenants or conditions attached to the instrument. The agreement may also specify security interests, priority among creditors, default events, remedies, and the process for repayment.

A notesavtale is commonly used in corporate financing, project finance, and securitization where funds are raised by issuing notes to investors.
