Notenschlüssel
Notenschlüssel is a symbol placed at the left end of a musical staff in Western notation. It indicates which pitch corresponds to each line and space, thereby defining the range of notes that can be written on the staff. The clef guides the reader in translating the vertical positions of notes into actual pitches.
