Because it is not an official specification, implementations vary and are typically experimental or illustrative.

Architecture and data model commonly attributed to the Notekis concept describe a lightweight graph of notes as nodes and relational edges as labeled connections. Media can include text, images, and references to external sources. Basic support often includes version history, tagging, and simple semantic queries that traverse relationships to reveal related ideas or themes. Some prototypes favor open formats (for example graph-based JSON or RDF-like structures) to facilitate interoperability, though no universal schema exists.

Usage and reception tend to be in educational, research, and design contexts where the goals are to demonstrate the benefits of knowledge graphs for personal or collaborative work.
