Nostratisch
Nostratisch is a hypothetical macrofamily of languages that is proposed to link several language families of Eurasia and North Africa. The theory suggests that these families, which include Indo-European, Uralic, Altaic, Kartvelian, Afroasiatic, and Dravidian, share a common ancestor that was spoken thousands of years ago. The term "Nostratisch" was coined by Danish linguist Ole Melchior during his research in the early 20th century.
