NorwayFinland

NorwayFinland refers to the shared border and historical interactions between the countries of Norway and Finland. The border stretches for 736 kilometers (457 miles) and is largely located in Arctic regions. Historically, the area has been inhabited by indigenous Sámi people who have traditionally moved across the present-day borders for reindeer herding and other cultural practices.

The current border was established through a series of treaties, with significant developments occurring in the 18th and 19th centuries as the modern nation-states of Norway and Finland solidified their territories. Prior to this, the region was often a buffer zone between larger powers like Sweden, Russia, and Denmark-Norway.
