Northval

Northval is a mid-sized city in the northern region of Briarwood. Situated along the North River, it functions as a regional administrative and commercial center. As of 2023, the city has an estimated population of around 82,000 people.

Covering roughly 72 square kilometers, Northval sits about 120 meters above sea level. The western edge is marked by rolling hills, while the eastern half lies in a broad riverplain. The climate is temperate, with warm summers and cool winters; average annual precipitation is about 105 centimeters.

Northval was founded in the early 19th century by settlers and developed as a river trade hub. The arrival of the railway in 1875 spurred rapid growth, followed by industrial expansion in the mid-20th century. The city has since diversified into services and education.
