Nodulens

Nodulens is a genus of extinct marine invertebrates that lived during the Silurian period. These organisms are characterized by their distinctive nodular or knobby external surface. They belong to the phylum Porifera, commonly known as sponges, and represent an early lineage of these filter-feeding animals. Fossils of nodulens are typically found in ancient reef environments and sedimentary rocks.

The morphology of nodulens is generally irregular, lacking the symmetry found in many other fossil sponges.
