Nikkelitön
Nikkelitön refers to the absence or removal of nickel. Nickel is a metallic element commonly found in many everyday objects, including jewelry, coins, zippers, and certain types of stainless steel. While nickel is widely used due to its durability and resistance to corrosion, it is also a common allergen. A significant portion of the population develops allergic contact dermatitis upon exposure to nickel. This allergy can manifest as redness, itching, swelling, and blistering of the skin where contact with nickel occurs.
"Nikkelitön" products are therefore designed to be free from nickel content, or to have nickel securely encapsulated
