Niittiliitokset
Niittiliitokset, also known as rivet joints, are a method of fastening two or more materials together using rivets. A rivet is a permanent mechanical fastener, typically made of metal, consisting of a smooth cylindrical shaft with a head on one end and a tail on the other. The rivet is inserted through a pre-drilled hole in the materials to be joined. Once inserted, the tail is deformed, usually by hammering or pressing, to create a second head. This second head, along with the original head, securely holds the materials together.
This joining technique has a long history and was widely used in the construction of bridges, buildings,
