Nietverbinder
Nietverbinder, literally rivet connector in German, refers to a permanent mechanical fastener used to join two or more components by means of a rivet. In installation, the rivet deforms to form a second head that clamps the parts together, creating a durable joint without threaded components. The basic rivet assembly consists of a rivet body and a mandrel; when the rivet is set, the mandrel is driven or pulled, causing the rivet to expand and hold the parts. In blind rivets, the mandrel remains inside the rivet and breaks off after setting, allowing installation from one side.
Common types include solid rivets, which require access to both sides of the joint and are driven
Applications span aircraft and automotive manufacturing, metal cabinets and enclosures, architectural framing, and furniture assembly. Advantages
