NiBpinnoitteita, often translated as Ni-B coatings, are a type of electroless plating that deposit a nickel-boron alloy. This coating process is distinct from electroplating as it does not require an external electric current. Instead, the deposition occurs through a controlled chemical reduction reaction in an aqueous solution containing nickel ions and a boron-containing reducing agent, typically sodium borohydride or dimethylamine borane.
