In theoretical frameworks, neutroneihin are often discussed as neutral, weakly interacting fermions that may mix with standard neutrinos or experience an additional gauge interaction beyond the electroweak force. They can be Dirac or Majorana particles and may possess a wide range of masses, from eV to keV or higher, depending on the model.
