Neurovälittäjäaineeseen

Neurovälittäjäaineeseen is the Finnish term for neurotransmitter. Neurotransmitters are chemical messengers that transmit signals across a synapse from one neuron to another. These crucial molecules play a vital role in virtually every aspect of brain function and behavior, from simple reflexes to complex cognitive processes like learning and memory.

When an electrical impulse reaches the end of a neuron, called the axon terminal, it triggers the release of neurotransmitters into the synaptic cleft, the tiny gap between neurons.
