Netværksslicing, or network slicing, is a core technology concept within 5G mobile networks. It allows a single physical network infrastructure to be divided into multiple virtual, isolated end-to-end networks. Each virtual network slice can be tailored to meet the specific requirements of a particular application, service, or user group. This means that different slices can have distinct characteristics such as guaranteed bandwidth, low latency, high reliability, or enhanced security, all operating over the same physical hardware.
