Nestoridae
Nestoridae is a family of birds endemic to New Zealand. It currently contains only one living genus, Nestor, which includes two extant species: the kaka (Nestor meridionalis) and the kea (Nestor notabilis). The family also includes extinct species, such as the Norfolk kaka (Nestor productus) and the Chatham kaka (Nestor chirindicus).
Kiwis, which were once classified within Nestoridae, are now placed in their own family, Apterygidae. Nestorids
