Neelulähedased

Neelulähedased is a part of a group of minute, thread-like organisms known as protozoa. They are small in size, ranging from a few micrometers to a few millimeters in length, and have elongated shapes, usually attached at one end. Their bodies are typically transparent or semi-transparent, with a gelatinous consistency.

The name "neelulähedased" is of Estonian origin and literally translates to "noodle-like organisms". This refers to their elongated and narrow shape, reminiscent of a dental floss or a thread. These organisms are found primarily in aquatic environments, such as ponds, lakes, and slow-moving rivers. They have a complex life cycle, with distinct trophic and reproductive stages.
