Nebensätzen
In German grammar, a Nebensatz (literally "subordinate clause" or "dependent clause") is a clause that cannot stand alone as a complete sentence but is dependent on a main clause, known as the Hauptsatz. Nebensätze are introduced by subordinating conjunctions (Unterordnungskonjunktionen) or relative pronouns (Relativpronomen) and provide additional information, specify conditions, or express relationships between ideas.
Nebensätze are distinguished from Hauptsätze by their syntactic structure and function. While Hauptsätze can form independent
Subordinating conjunctions commonly used to introduce Nebensätze include *"dass"* (that), *"weil"* (because), *"dass"* (whether), *"obwohl"* (although),
Nebensätze often appear at the beginning, middle, or end of a sentence, depending on emphasis and context.
