Ndërfjalorët are a class of words in the Albanian language that function as conjunctions or prepositions, connecting words, phrases, or clauses. While the term "ndërfjalor" literally translates to "between words," it encompasses a functional category rather than a strict etymological one.

These words can be broadly divided into two main groups based on their grammatical function. One group includes words that join independent clauses or subordinate clauses, similar to English conjunctions like "and," "but," "or," "because," "if," and "while." Examples include "dhe" (and), "por" (but), "ose" (or), "sepse" (because), and "kur" (when). These ndërfjalorët help to create logical connections and flow within a sentence.

The other group of ndërfjalorët functions as prepositions, indicating the relationship between a noun or pronoun and another word in the sentence. These words typically precede a noun or pronoun and are followed by a noun phrase. Examples include "në" (in, on), "me" (with), "nga" (from), "për" (for), and "pa" (without). Understanding the usage of these prepositions is essential for accurate sentence construction in Albanian, as they govern the case of the following noun.
