Narovianspeaking refers to using the Narovian language, a constructed language created for the fictional region of Narovia and for linguistic and cultural exploration. It encompasses daily speech, written communication, and the social practices of its Narovian-speaking communities.

Origins: Narovian was designed in the early 21st century by a collaboration of conlang enthusiasts and linguistics researchers. It aims to be naturalistic, with a coherent phonology, morphology, and syntax, while remaining a tool for fiction, pedagogy, and linguistic demonstration.

Phonology and writing: Narovian uses a Latin-based alphabet with diacritics; its phoneme set includes vowels a e i o u and consonants p b t d k g m n s l r f ʃ j. The language is not tonal, and stress falls on the penultimate syllable.

Grammar: Narovian is largely agglutinative with a basic SVO word order. Nouns inflect for case (nominative, accusative, dative, genitive) and plurals. Adjectives follow nouns and agree with number. Verbs show tense via prefixes and aspect via particles; negation uses a dedicated particle. Pronouns distinguish person and number, and clitics mark mood or stance.

Lexicon and use: Core vocabulary covers everyday domains, with roots drawn from native Narovian roots and loanwords from neighboring languages in the fictional world. Materials include dictionaries, grammars, and online courses; the language appears in literature, games, and fan communities.

Status: Narovianspeaking has no official status. It exists within conlang and speculative fiction communities, supported by online forums, learning resources, and creative works that illustrate its structure and social use.
