Napfázisok

Napfázisok refers to the different stages or phases that can be observed in the Sun. While not as distinct as the phases of the Moon, these variations are related to the Sun's activity and appearance. One primary napfázis is related to the solar cycle, an approximately 11-year period of fluctuating solar activity. During solar maximum, the Sun exhibits more sunspots, solar flares, and coronal mass ejections. Conversely, during solar minimum, the Sun is much calmer with fewer of these energetic events.

Another aspect of napfázisok relates to observations of the Sun's surface. Sunspots are temporary phenomena on the photosphere of the Sun that appear darker than surrounding areas because they absorb less light. Their number and distribution change throughout the solar cycle, marking different napfázisok. The appearance of prominences, large eruptions of plasma extending outward from the Sun's surface, also varies with solar activity. These incandescent features are often visible during solar eclipses.

The term can also sometimes loosely refer to the Sun's position in the sky throughout the day, specifically its apparent path and the changing angles of sunlight. This is more commonly understood as diurnal motion. However, in astronomical contexts, napfázisok primarily relates to the dynamic and cyclical nature of the Sun's activity and its observable phenomena. Understanding these napfázisok is crucial for space weather forecasting and comprehending the Sun's influence on Earth.
