Nahatüüpised

Nahatüüpised refers to the classification of human skin types. This categorization is commonly used in dermatology and cosmetics to understand how skin behaves and to recommend appropriate skincare. The most widely recognized classification system identifies four primary skin types: normal, oily, dry, and combination.

Normal skin is generally well-balanced, neither too oily nor too dry. It typically has small pores, a smooth texture, and is less prone to blemishes or irritation. Oily skin is characterized by excess sebum production, leading to a shiny appearance, enlarged pores, and a greater likelihood of acne. Dry skin lacks sufficient moisture and oil, often feeling tight, rough, and appearing dull. It can be more susceptible to flaking and sensitivity. Combination skin presents a mix of these characteristics, with oily areas, usually in the T-zone (forehead, nose, and chin), and normal or dry areas on the cheeks.

Beyond these four basic types, some systems also include sensitive skin as a distinct category, though sensitivity can occur across any of the primary types. Sensitive skin is easily irritated by environmental factors, certain ingredients, or harsh treatments, often reacting with redness, itching, or burning. Understanding one's nahatüüp is crucial for selecting effective skincare products and treatments that address specific needs and concerns, promoting skin health and appearance.
