Müllerianimikry
Müllerianimikry, also known as Müllerian mimicry, is a form of mimicry in which two or more unpalatable or defended species evolve to share the same warning signals, such as coloration, patterns, sounds, or odors. The shared signal helps predators learn to avoid the pattern more quickly, so a single negative experience with any member of the mimetic group teaches the predator to avoid all species bearing that signal.
Unlike Batesian mimicry, where a harmless species imitates a harmful one, in Müllerian mimicry every participant
The phenomenon is well documented among butterflies, especially in the genus Heliconius in Central and South
Müllerian mimicry illustrates how ecological interactions and learning processes shape evolution and biodiversity. It highlights how
