Månadsstängning, or monthly closing, is a critical accounting process performed at the end of each calendar month. It involves the systematic recording, summarizing, and reporting of financial transactions that occurred during that period. The primary objective of månadsstängning is to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial data, providing a clear picture of a company's financial performance and position for the month.

The process typically begins with reconciling various accounts, such as bank statements, accounts payable, and accounts receivable, to identify and correct any discrepancies.
