Mustetta

The term originates from the Finnish word *mustetta*, which means "black medicine" or "black ointment," referring to its dark, tar-like appearance. Historically, mustetta was crafted using a combination of natural ingredients, including birch tar, beeswax, honey, and sometimes other herbal components like juniper berries or pine resin.
