Muottiprässit

Muottiprässit, often translated as injection molding machines, are industrial machines used in the mass production of molded parts. They operate by melting plastic granules and injecting the molten material under high pressure into a mold cavity. Once the plastic cools and solidifies within the mold, the mold opens, and the finished part is ejected. This process is widely used for manufacturing a vast array of plastic products, from automotive components and consumer electronics to packaging and medical devices.

The fundamental components of a muottiprässi include an injection unit, which heats and melts the plastic and then injects it, and a clamping unit, which holds the two halves of the mold together under significant force during the injection and cooling phases.
