Munkakiosztás

Munkakiosztás (translated as work schedule, duty roster, or task allocation) is the systematic distribution of tasks, duties and working times among employees. It defines who is responsible for specific tasks and when they perform them, and may include shifts, breaks, and rotation of roles within a team or organization.

The purpose of an effective munkakiosztás is to ensure coverage, optimize workflow, respect employee qualifications and preferences, and comply with labor agreements and legal limits on working time. It is commonly used in sectors requiring continuous operation or specialized tasks, such as healthcare, hospitality, retail, manufacturing, and education.

Kiosztás can take several forms, including fixed schedules (static assignments), rotating schedules (shifts or roles that change over time), and on-call or flexible arrangements. Tools range from simple spreadsheets to specialized scheduling software and human-resource information systems. Effective munkakiosztás supports productivity and safety but can face challenges such as conflicts, overtime, under- or over-staffing, and disputes over fairness.
